Why SQL Query Corner?

Ever taken a SQL course and learned the various SELECT, FROM, and WHERE syntaxes, but felt lost when it came to actually using them to build a project or answer real-world questions? I’ve been there. I remember finishing my first SQL course, excited by the potential of this powerful language, but unsure how to piece together everything I’d learned to generate meaningful insights.

That’s why I started SQL Query Corner.

I wanted to create a place where you could see how all those individual pieces fit together in real projects. My projects are designed to be explanatory and practical, showing you not just the "how" but also the "why" behind each step.

In this project, I analyzed the Netflix library from start to finish. I began by sourcing the data and followed a detailed data cleaning process, including checking for blanks, removing duplicates, fixing errors, and researching accurate information. I then used over ten SQL queries, including CTEs and subqueries, to answer key data analysis questions and uncover insights into the Netflix content library.

Using SQL To Analyze The Books Dataset

In this project, I explored a detailed books dataset using SQLite. I started with thorough data cleaning and exploratory data analysis (EDA). I ran over ten SQL queries, from basic to advanced, to uncover interesting insights. To wrap it up, I exported the data and created visualizations in Power BI to showcase my findings.
